Lloydminster Meet / ESSA BUS TRIP

Each year ESSA tries to support our fellow Alberta speed skating clubs by providing a team building bus trip for our members.
This year’s proposed ESSA bus trip is to Fire on Ice in Lloydminster on December 7th.
This is a one day, all ages ability meet and a fantastic meet for both seasoned and new racers.
Many of our families love this meet.
The bus will leave Edmonton on December 6th at approximately 3:00pm
and return to Edmonton  late Saturday evening once the racing is completed.
The bus is a 56 passenger bus.
Seats will be $50 for the first seat and $25 for each subsequent seat.
We are currently trying to get a feel for the level of interest in this bus trip.
Please email Tammy Currie vicepresident@edmontonspeedskating.ca with the number of seats you would need.
Please note that this is not a formal commitment with payment at this time.
If we have enough interest to go ahead with the bus trip I will send out another email with more information and a sign up sheet.
Thank you,
Tammy Currie

If you know how to work a stopwatch, you can help time.
If you know how to count laps, you can be a lap counter.
If you know how to keep track of skaters, you can be a place judge.
If you know how to herd skaters, you can be a clerk.
If you know how to feed a crew of eager volunteers, you can help with hospitality.
If you know how to be organized and photocopy, you can be part of the office.
If you have a voice that sounds great over the speakers and like to play music, you can be an announcer.
If you have advanced first aid training, you can be a medic (and a great view of the events).
If you like to meet people, you can help with the silent auction and 50/50.
If you just want to help out, we can find you a task.
Please check out the signup link :  volunteersignup.org/LY9A9
Families who have been with the club for a few years – it would be really appreciated if you signed up and helped with this great event.
New families and newer families are most welcome to help out, but we understand if you need to dedicate yourself to your skater during the meet.
If you have questions, email Diane (programcoordinator@edmontonspeedskating.ca)
